How to Draw A Crocodile. Crocodiles are amazing creatures that we can find on different continents worldwide. These reptilian predators are the closest to a living dinosaur, which has helped them become popular animals.

This popularity has led many people to wonder how to learn to draw a crocodile to celebrate their admiration for this animal.
It might not seem very comforting, but you’ve come to the right place if you want to learn how to do it yourself to Draw A Crocodile!
How to Draw A Crocodile
Step 1
In this first step of our guide on how to draw a crocodile, we’ll start with the eyes and the top of the head.
As seen in the reference image, you can draw some oval shapes close together to draw the eyes. Make sure you leave some space at the bottom of the eyes!
Once you’ve drawn the eyes, you can use curved lines for the lids and then draw a backward line for the beginning of the head to Draw A Crocodile.
Step 2
You can start drawing the crocodile’s face in this part of your crocodile drawing. First, you can use a curved line under your left eye, filling in the space you left at the bottom of your eye.
Then you can refer to the reference image to use more curved and rounded lines to form the muzzle.
This part can be tricky, so follow the guide carefully!
Step 3
For this step of our tutorial on drawing a crocodile, we will focus on the back of the crocodile.
There will be a series of triangular spikes along it, and you can use a line between each to make the back and the beginning of the tail.
You can then use a sharply curved Stripe for the end of the tail. Remember to draw the bottom part of the mouth to Draw A Crocodile!
Step 4
In this next step, we will add the legs and belly of your crocodile design. The legs are fairly short and rounded, with sharp claws at the end.
The crocodile’s front leg extends forward while the back leg bends backward. Then you can draw the underside of the tail and the belly to complete this step to Draw A Crocodile.
Step 5
In this step of our crocodile drawing guide, you can draw feet on the other side of the body.
These appear quite small to give perspective. Next, use some points for the pupils and then draw some nostrils to Draw A Crocodile.
Step 6
Every crocodile needs a jaw full of sharp teeth, so let’s add something to your crocodile drawing in this step!
You can draw a slightly jagged line for his mouth and add sharp teeth above and below.
Once you’ve drawn the mouth, you can draw the additional details in our reference images, like lines on the stomach and some on the face and legs, for a little more skin texture to Draw A Crocodile.
Step 7
We will draw some small details before proceeding to the final phase of this guide on how to draw a crocodile.
We used small lines all over the body to create a skin texture for the crocodile. Then you can draw some jagged lines to create a grassy base for your crocodile.
Before proceeding, add all the details you want for this image! You could expand the background to show what kind of environment this crocodile lives in.
Step 8
Now that you’ve finished your crocodile drawing adding some cool colors is only one fun step left!
We used a green and yellow color scheme for our image, but this is a step where you can let your creativity run wild!
You can use a color scheme similar to ours, but feel free to use any other color you like!
You could use softer, more realistic colors, but you can also use bright, vibrant colors for a more stylistic image.
Remember to color the background and any additional details you may have drawn!
What artistic media will you use for your photo? I would use watercolor paints for a softer image if I colorize it, but I know whatever you do will look amazing!
